Shipping Rates and Policies

Shipping Rates

Our shipping rates depend on the weight of your order and are calculated automatically when you complete your checkout and before you are directed to our seperate & secure payment page. 

These rates include all shipping and handling charges and start at a minimum of US $6.00 for up to 2 lbs.  shipped by ground to the contigious United States (the lower 48).  Maximize your order to take advantage of this policy and save - the more items you order, the cheaper the delivery cost per item is! 

  Shipping Policies

Email confirmation is sent to you automatically by our system immediately after you complete your order.  Please review it carefully as soon as you receive it to be sure it reflects your intended purchase.  Email us immediately if there are changes you wish to make. (NOTE: some systems may divert these Emails to spam or junk mail folders.  You may have to instruct your system to recognize us as a friend.)

It is our policy to ship your merchandise to you within 2 -5 business days of receiving your order with approved payment.  With such a prompt turn around, orders cannot be cancelled on our website.  Contact us at customerservice@firststoppetsupplies.com and we will do our best to cancel or change orders that have not already been shipped. Orders cancelled after shipping will be treated as refunds or exchanges.  You will be responsible for shipping charges on cancelled orders once they have been shipped.

If the merchandise you order is not in stock or is back ordered to us, as may occassionally happen due to delays in shipping by our suppliers or for particularly popular items, we will notify you of any delay in filling your order if it exceeds 7 business days.

We ship anywhere in the world UPS delivers so don't hesitate to get your favourite pet supplies wherever you are.  Taxes, duties and customs brokerage fees are the responsibility of the recipient. UPS will broker these charges if necessary and collect on delivery.  Shipping & handling charges will not automatically quote on your order at checkout if your delivery address is outside the USA or Canada.  Please contact us at customerservice@1st-stop-pet-supplies.com for an accurate quote before completing your order.

All orders are shipped UPS Ground or United States Postal Service Priority unless you email us at customerservice@firststoppetsupplies.com  prior to completeing your order to request expedited service (rates will be higher).  Shipping costs are automatically calculated according to the total weight of your order.  The amount will appear on your order sheet when you check out your shopping cart.  NOTE: Some oversize but light items are subject to UPS or USPS special rates. To accommodate this, we have increased the weight in some product descriptions so the shipping cost calculation on your orders will reflect this difference.  In such instances, we try to have the actual weight described in the product description.

NOTE: If your address is a post office box number, your order will NOT be shipped by UPS (they do not deliver to box numbers) but will be shipped by US Postal Service Priority Mail and may take a few days longer for delivery. Or you can give us  an alternate shipping address (different from your mailing address) in the "ship to" portion of the Checkout Information Page. 

UPS shipping costs include insurance up to $100.00 per shipment.  Every shipment is assigned a tracking number.  If you don't receive your order in a timely manner, please contact us and we will track it for you.

Delivery:  Your order should reach you between 3 & 10 business days from time of shipping depending on the destination.

Shipping Damages:  All products are inspected for quality before they leave our facility.  If the your order is received damaged, you must report it to the shipping company within 24 hours.  All boxes and packing material must be saved as the shipping company may wish to inspect these materials.  Please notify us of the damage at customerservice@firststoppetsupplies.com  after you have reported the claim to the shipping company.  Upon receiving credit from the carrier, we will re-ship the merchandise to you.

                                                              Payment Policies

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Pay Pal, and personal or business check or money order.   Please note that orders are not filled & shipped until we have secured payment.  In the case of credit cards or Pay Pal we will have an approval message immediately.  Charges or refunds on your statements may appear as ROIDA Advisory Network (our parent company).

If you choose to pay by check or money order:  When you have submitted your order, mail a check or money order in US funds with your order number or a copy of your order/receipt (which you will receive by Email immediately after completeing your order) to:  First Stop Pet Supplies,  #137 - 8091A Ryan Road, Richmond, BC,  Canada,  V7A 2E4.  Your order will be held on file and filled within 2 business days following bank clearnace of your funds.  It may take from 3-6 weeks until you receive your order.

Returns Policies

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.  If, however, you find it necessary to return or exchange items, they must be returned within 30 days of your original purchase, in original and resalable condition, and in original packaging where applicable.  If these conditions are met, we will credit your account for the price of the items returned excluding shipping charges.  Please include a list of what is being returned; why it is being returned; and whether you would like an exchange or refund.  Also, please include a copy of the original order confirmation sheet or packing slip if available.  If you want an exchange for the items returned, list the items you want in exchange with product numbers, colors, sizes, etc.  Items that have been opened or used will be considered for refund at our discretion.   E-mail us at customerservice@firststoppetsupplies.com  for instruction before returning any items.  No refunds or exchanges can be made on "Discontinued" or "Clearance" items.

You will be responsible for the shipping costs of returned merchandise unless the return is because of a manufacturing defect or we have inadvertantly shipped the wrong item. 

Normal wear and tear or damage incurred by your pet's play or use is to be expected and is not covered under our guarantee.
